Overnight camp?
Is it me or does it look like I have NO makeup on in my profile picture? ANYWAY!!!
About the overnight camp. Today we took our oldest to her first overnight Christian camp. For 5 nights!!!! How in the world am I going to go that long without communication from my little Ave? I know that she is 9 and that she is plenty old enough to spend the night away from mom and be OK, but the REAL question is am I going to be OK? I just keep thinking about all the things that I need to tell her (to do & not do!) . She is going to be with GREAT counselors and I know they will love her, but please pray that she has a good, encouraging, inspiring, and FUN week!

NOOOO, You look amazing in your profile picture.
AGGGHHH! I don't know how you are handling it. I don't even let my almost six-year old spend the night at friends. I don't know what I will do when she wants to go away at camp. Cry maybe. They still seem so little!
Five days is a pretty long time ya? I'll be very worried for sure.
I like your pix Nicole - dun worry :P
My 9 year old goes to Leadership Camp in about 3 weeks. I am having a hard time thinking about him being gone for a week also, but I know it is an awesome time to grow in the Lord, it is his first bit of serious independance, like you said with great counselors, and I believe that it will be his first step to gaining a faith of his own. I will keep Avery in my prayers this week.
You look GREAT -- forget about it!!!
You'll pull thru these next five days. Enjoy some extra time to yourself when you can manage keeping the other kids busy -- does that ever happen? :)
Thanks for commenting on my blog! It's great fun to read about the happenings of other moms. Love your blog.
Can't imagine what it feels like to have a little one headed off for 5 days. My oldest is only 4. Hopefully, the time will fly by for you.
This reminds me of a time back in the 80's when I boarded the van for Permian Basin Christian Camp and met this really sweet girl named Nicole...I know that it is hard on you mom, but just think of the wonderful memories and sweet friends God is going to give Avery this week. I'll be praying for you both.
P.S. You are beautiful in that picture.
I thought you used the Bare Minerals "warmth" because you look perfectly sunkissed.
I hope you get through the week without your sweetheart. Best wishes!
I can't believe I sent my oldest three to camp when they were each 7 (my hubby went as a parent counselor so that was my excuse). Now my elem. kids don't want to go anymore - but I'm TOTALLY fine with that. Wish I would have waited a couple of years for their first away experience!
